“Starting a business is not for everyone. Starting a business – I would say – number one is to have a high pain threshold.”

Congratulations

One more time, I would like to congratulate you. Starting your business requires tremendous energy and self-discipline. If you are watching this video, it means that you are far more in the business than 30 days ago. Before starting this program, have you ever thought that there would be so many things to accomplish? You are now more conscious, and you understand that having a growing business is not happening by chance. Having a successful business means hard work, being patient, and the most important – being persistent.

Don’t quit!

There will be moments of great joy and great frustrations. You are not alone – every businessman and businesswoman has moments of up-and-downs, but as far as I talked to many of them, they have one thing in common – they don’t quit. So, DON’T QUIT! As long as you are sure you are doing right, and you are building a community of loyal customers, stay in the game. If something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor. Remember that failure is an option here. If things are not failing, you are not innovating enough.

Read books

During the next two days, I would like you to choose one of the books I recommend to you and read it. Later on, schedule the rest of them and read systematically. These are not technical books about how to make more traffic or have better products. No, these are the books written by businessmen and businesswomen who achieved mastery in what they are doing. Their stories should be inspirational for you.

My Favourite Books

  • Book number one is “Sell or Be Sold” by Grant Cardone. Whether it’s selling your company’s product in the boardroom or selling yourself on eating healthy, everything in life can – and – should be treated as a sale. Grant Cardone explains that knowing the principles of selling is a prerequisite for the success of any kind.
  • My second choice goes to “How Will You Measure Your Life” by Clayton Christensen, James Allworth, and Karen Dillon. From the world’s leading thinker on innovation and New York Times bestselling author of The Innovator’s Dilemma, Clayton M. Christensen, comes an original book of inspiration and wisdom for achieving a fulfilling life.
  • Consider “The Third Wave”: An Entrepreneur’s Vision of the Future by Steve Case. Steve uses his insights garnered from nearly four decades of working as an innovator, investor, and businessman to argue the importance of entrepreneurship and to chart a path for future innovators.
  • Book four is a must. “Unshakeable” by Tony Robbins. Oprah Winfrey said – “Tony’s power is super-human”. Bill Clinton said about Tony that “He has a great gift. He has the gift to inspire”. Tony Robbins needs no introduction.
  • “Becoming” by Michelle Obama. Becoming is the memoir of former United States first lady Michelle Obama published in 2018. The book talks about her roots and how she found her voice, as well as her time in the White House, her public health campaign, and her role as a mother.
  • “The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World” by Melinda Gates. “How can we summon a moment of lift for human beings – and especially for women? Because when you lift up women, you lift up humanity.”

Keep Your Body And Mind In A Good Shape

Remember that your business performs as good as people engaged in it. As a leader of a company or a sole entrepreneur, you need to take special care of your body and health. Once you are down, the company might have a hard time. What is more, you are going to have hard situations, thinking about quitting. Fortunately, there are some tips to overcome hard periods.

  • Number one is to read or listen to success-oriented and motivational materials
  • Secondly, attend courses, seminars, webinars in your industry to get new ideas and connect with others
  • The third rule is to surround yourself with successful people. Become a member of a mastermind group or find a mentor for feedback and tips – by the way, NEVER take feedback and suggestions related to how to drive your business from people who never had their business.
  • Last but not least. Take care of yourself physically:
    • Sleep a lot, but do not oversleep a day,
    • Run a healthy diet and perform regular exercise.
